At Studio Rary, we see architecture as the art of weaving harmonious and authentic connections. The word “Rary,” which means to braid, arrange, and reconcile in Malagasy, embodies our vision and philosophy. Our studio is a platform where creativity flourishes through multidisciplinary and collective collaboration. With our international experience, we are committed to creating spaces that celebrate local richness and craftsmanship while integrating contemporary innovations. Each project is an opportunity to design architectural works that combine sensitivity and functionality, while meeting the needs of the modern world.
More than just an architecture firm, Studio Rary is a creative space where every project becomes a collective adventure. We seek to reveal beauty in the meeting of the old and the new. Rooted in a deep understanding of Malagasy culture and enriched by international influences, we weave unique stories through our creations. Whether in the design of furniture, residences, or hotels, our goal is to celebrate harmony, evoke emotion, and reconcile tradition with modernity for a sustainable and inspiring future.

Teddy Raharijaona earned his state degree in architecture from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-La Villette in 2021. He began his career within dynamic young architecture firms across mainland France, where he expressed his ambition to create enchanting environments through architecture. His vision and practice have been enriched by his experiences in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and more recently in the Caribbean islands, collaborating with architect F. Jaulin, renowned for his expertise in luxury villas and hotel complexes.
In 2024, Teddy Raharijaona joined the Ordre des Architectes Malagasy and founded Studio Rary, an architecture and interior design studio based in Madagascar. There, he nurtures the project of contributing to the development and promotion of the craftsmanship of his homeland.
He conceives and defends architecture as a global and collective work, a vehicle for social, cultural, and environmental wealth. Through a sensitive, demanding, and uncompromising approach, Studio Rary aspires to promote Malagasy heritage and way of life, relying on engaged local actors who share its causes and values.
Teddy Raharijaona embodies a new generation of architects who, while deeply attached to their roots, open themselves to the world to extract the very essence of architectural beauty and innovation. Studio Rary, through its projects, reflects this ambitious vision: to create architecture that celebrates Malagasy heritage.
